When looking at spine from the side, it has a natural curve. It is this curve that makes it possible for us to walk, and do all the other amazing things we can do while standing upright. When looking at the spine from the back, there is no curve. It should look like a straight line.
This is not case for people who suffer from Scoliosis. Instead a straight line, the spine has an S-shaped curve. In many cases, this irregular curvature is mild, and hardly noticeable, but there are instances where it is severe, causing deformities in the person’s posture, as well as issues such as back pain and difficulty breathing.
